Capes, powers and a city to save
The appeal of a superhero game is the power fantasy at its simplest: you are stronger, faster or able to fly, and the city needs you. The label collects every title whose tag or name says hero or superhero, which produces a shelf that runs from web-slinging traversal and flying patrols to rooftop brawlers, tower defenders with a caped commander, and a surprising number of dress-up rooms where the mission is the outfit. Some are original characters invented by the studio; many are fan-made versions of famous ones.
About those famous ones: the games here come from licensed third-party providers and are fan-made or inspired titles, not official products of any comic publisher or film studio, and nothing here claims otherwise. They borrow a silhouette and a color scheme; the rest is the studio's own design. The web-slinger fan games gather under spiderman games, the dark-knight ones under batman games, and the flying strongman under superman games.
Swing, fly, punch or defend
Traversal games are the heart of the shelf. Swinging titles ask you to time a release at the top of the arc; flying games are simpler, a hold to climb and a release to dive, and both are usually endless runs through a skyline. The brawlers are closer to fighting games: a street, a wave of henchmen, a couple of attack buttons and a super move when the meter fills, sometimes for two players on one keyboard. Then there are the shooters, where a hero's power is a projectile and the rest is a side-scrolling gallery.
The quieter branch is strategy: a hero leads a squad through tower defense games or a lane battle, and the power is a cooldown rather than a reflex. Controls are the usual — arrows or WASD, a jump and an attack on the keyboard, big buttons on a phone — and the endless swing-and-fly games are the ones built for a thumb. Anything with a leveling curve and gear to collect shades toward the rpg games end of the shelf.
Heroes for every age
Superhero games skew young. Most are cartoon brawls with no blood, the dress-up and coloring titles are aimed at children, and the flying runs are as gentle as any arcade game. Teens get the most from the brawlers and the swinging games, where timing and combos matter, and parents can read the screenshots on a game page to tell the two apart. Nothing here requires a login and nothing installs.
If the cape matters less than the action, the action games hub has the same brawls without the costume; the dress-up games hub holds the costume without the brawl, including a long run of hero makeovers; and players who prefer armor to spandex will find the medieval version under knight games. The mechanical heroes — suits, mechs and transforming machines — sit with the robot games.

No. The games on this hub are third-party, fan-made or inspired titles from licensed providers, not official products of any comic publisher or film studio, and the site is not affiliated with those companies. They borrow a look; the design underneath is the studio's own.

The dress-up rooms, the coloring titles and the one-touch flying runs are the gentlest, with no combat at all. The cartoon brawlers are bloodless but still involve hitting, so a parent may want to check the screenshots on the game page first.

Some of the brawlers support two players on one keyboard, with one on the arrow keys and the other on WASD; the start screen says which. The two player hub lists the same games without the superhero filter.
