About this game

You are the night guard of Block 13 — a crumbling Soviet-era apartment block where something is very wrong. Every night, visitors appear at the window claiming to be residents. Some are telling the truth. Some are shapeshifters wearing stolen faces. One wrong decision — letting the wrong one in, or turning away someone real — ends the night, and the building remembers. Survive all 7 nights. Prove you belong in the block.

In Night Shift at Block 13, you take the role of a night guard stationed at a deteriorating apartment building from the Soviet era. Each night, people arrive at your window and claim to live in the block. Your task is to determine whether each visitor is genuine or a shapeshifter using a stolen appearance. You inspect items such as a passport, journal, phone, keys, letter, book, and receipt to check their stories. Letting in an impostor or rejecting a real resident brings the night to an end, and the building keeps a record of your choices. You must last through all 7 nights to show that you belong in the block. The game is a single-player puzzle and simulation experience played on desktop.

How to play

1. Use WASD to move and the mouse to look around your guard post.
2. Press E to interact with visitors and inspect items like the passport, journal, phone, keys, letter, book, and receipt.
3. Press the Green Button to let a visitor in, or the Red Button to deny them.
4. Survive all 7 nights by making correct decisions about each visitor.

Tips & tricks

• Check every document you can before deciding, because a wrong choice ends the night.
• Remember that the building keeps track of your decisions, so consistency may matter.
• Use the Green Button only when you are confident the visitor is a real resident.
• Use the Red Button if you find evidence that the visitor is a shapeshifter.
